A large antique trough from a farm in North Devon carved from granite in an asymmetrical rectangular shape with an original drainage hole at one end. Originally a water trough for farm animals, it is still watertight and could be re-used as a garden water feature. It is very well weathered and unusually finely carved for a granite trough with relatively thin walls and good internal depth.
Approximate internal dimensions; 43" x 24" x 12" deep.
18th/19th Century.
