An antique lead pump, the rectangular box embossed with the initials TK and the date 1841 with a circular spout to the front. This pump was originally encased in wooden boards with a side handle mounted on the top so that only the embossed face was visible. The date is quite late for lead pumps which were supplanted by cast iron pumps that became increasingly popular during the 19th century. It would make an interesting fountainhead for a circulating water feature.
19th Century.
